Istana Jahar, located near Istana Balai Besar, is among the interesting palaces found around the city of Kota Bharu.
The Istana Jahar was a royal residence in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia. It was built in 1855 by Sultan Muhammad II of Kelantan for his grandson, Raja Bendahara Long Kundor. It was actual royal palace and converted to the museum, and is good to get knowledge about Kelantanese royal culture, exhibiting on the clothing, weddings, and this museum has so much to learn from. Inside this museum displays the art and things that used by Royals in those days. The ways pregnancy being taken care was elaborated displayed here and we can learn lot more the traditional ways people gave birth those days.
